Terry Donald Glover, of Scotts Hill, NC formerly of Rocky Mount, NC passed away suddenly March 3, 2018.
He was born in Nash County, NC to the late, Ivan and Alice Hathaway Glover.
Terry worked as a carman in the railroad for many years. He was a well-known member of his community and Barlow Vista Baptist Church. He loved his family, animals, and life.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ivan Glover Jr, Wallace Glover, Dallas Glover, Danny Glover, and Othie Moss.
Left to remember him are his wife of forty-six years and the love of his life, Martha Newcomb Glover; son, Charles “Chuck” E Newcomb of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Crystal Wright of Ashville, NC; sister, Brenda Davis (Jimmy) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren Cameron and Kinley Wright; as well as many dearly loved nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
A service in Terry’s memory will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday March 8, 2018 at Barlow Vista Baptist Church, Hampstead, NC. The Reverend Tony Bossolono and Dr. Bill Guthrie will officiate.
Family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Bert grew up with papa always there. I can think of so many times when he would come to the rescue of Bert and Cam. The world has lost a great man. May God comfort you Cam and your family. ❤️

Terry was a dear friend and neighbor for many years. He and Tully loved doing "the old man thing". Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wonderful family.

As I have known him as papa myself. I loved his jokes as me and cameron used to sit in the shop and joke with him. I love this family dearly and am heart broken myself. I hope I will be able to make the funeral. I love you Meme ( Martha) Cameron, Kinley, Chuck, and Crystal!

Terry was a special Uncle to me he called me everyday sometimes twice to support me during the time I was loosing my mom in 2015 and again when I was loosing my dad (his oldest brother) in 2017. He also was a big part of my childhood I loved him very much! To: Martha I love You very much also thank you for being a big part of my life.

My favorite brother, he called me almost everyday. My heart is broken into a thousand pieces. I can’t wait to hear his hilarious jokes again one day, it makes me even more homesick for heaven.
