Joan "Bimmie" Turner Woodcock



Joan “Bimmie” Turner Woodcock, 63, of Willard passed peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2017 at her home.

She was born May 28, 1954 in Bell County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Guy Joseph and Martha Delina Simpson Turner.

Joan is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jeffery D. Woodcock; daughters, Jennifer LeMay Bass (George) and Jillian LeMay Malpass (David); grandchildren, Amber Bass, Justin Bass, Lindsey Bass, Makenzie Andrews, Dylan Andrews, and Cienna Malpass; great grandchildren, Riley Beck and Roxie Jenkins; sister, Barbara Littleton; brothers, Joe Turner (Julie), Timothy Turner (Rene) and Robbie Turner; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Many will remember Joan’s smiling face at Go Gas and Del-Labs, where she worked for a number of years.

Joan found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family. She loved the outdoors, mowing grass and time with family. Joan was blessed with a love for the Lord and a faith that took her through an extended illness. Joan will be remembered for her radiant smile, joy in life and love for her family. Her family is grateful to God for her life, for your friendship and for your kindness and prayers.

The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with service beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Rev. Merrell McKoy will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Woodcock Cemetery.
