I remember the first time David and I came to Wilmington to visit Gilda. She was so welcoming and in her favorite place the kitchen cooking. As I remember her this quote comes to mind "Eating, sharing and smelling good food cooking are incredible pleasure in life" which brought her much joy throughout the years as she shared wonderful meals with friends and family. I also remember her attempting to teach me how to make David's favorite cherry cream pie without success. Gilda will be missed but always in our hearts. My heart and love is with each of you.

So many fond memories of my Grandmother. The best cook i’ve Ever known; what a legendary escarole salad. I am very greatful that she was able to meet my two daughter while she was still of sound mind. Will miss her always.
