Celebrating the life of Dorothy Southerland Johnson Sandlin
Thank you for signing Dorothy Southerland Johnson Sandlin's Guestbook
I had the pleasure of knowing Dottie when she lived in Cranbury, NJ. She was great friends with my mom, Peg Bayer, and I will never forget her huge musical talent, her passion for life and laughter and her boundless energy. She was a true artist and will be sorely missed by me and my brother, Bob. Lots of love and deep condolences to you, Jim, and your entire family.

To the Family of Dorothy Sandlin:
Dorothy and my wife Becky, who also was a pianist and organist, were close friends until Becky passed away. Dorothy taught our children piano. In recent years she taught my grandchildren. What a lovely, talented sweet lady! We shall all miss her.

Dorothy has been a dear friend and partner in the music world for many years. She taught piano at Harrells Christian Academy, and was Secretary in the North Carolina Music Association. Her help as a judge in music festivals was superb. She loved her family and friends, and had a deep love for her Rose Hill ties, whom she visited as often as she could. Luanne and Jim, you and your family have been faithful to her for a long time. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all her students and fellow musicians.
