Kameron Tyler Craig, age 14, has left this earth too soon. Saturday, November 18, 2017 he went home to join the heavenly angels. Kameron was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer Michelle Strickland Craig.
He was born April 21, 2003 in Jacksonville. Kameron was in the 9th grade at Heide Trask High School, where he was an outstanding student. He was best in his class in math and a whiz at computers. Not only was Kameron smart, but also energetic. He loved spending time outdoors with his dog companion, Flash. Kameron’s family elected to participate in the organ donor program, thus Kameron’s last gift to this world was to give seven people a new lease on life. Cherished memories of Kameron will continue to live in our hearts and minds.
Kameron is survived by his sister, Allyson Paige Ramos; grandmother, Patricia Northcott and her husband, James; grandfather, William “Billy” Judson Strickland; aunt, Lynn Pruitt and her husband, Ricky; cousins, Leanna Pfeiffer, Khloe Sholar and Isabella Sholar; and many extended family and friends.
There will be a private gathering of family and close friends in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a gift in loving memory of Kameron to help with cremation expenses to Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, PO Box 1316, Burgaw, NC 28425.
Please keep this dear family in your hearts and prayers.

Rest in Paradise

Losing a child can be very hard. No one can really understand exactly how you feel, but God does. My prayer is that you will be comforted from God's inspired word the Bible. John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21: 3,4 gives hope of a future resurrection and the complete elimination of death, sickness, pain and mourning. Under Jesus' kingdom rule we have this and much more to look forward to. Please accept my deepest condolences to the Craig's family.

No one better than God, understands the depth of your pain and can help you cope with your disquieting thoughts. Thus, I hope that in due time your family receives his peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. God is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. Rest assured that he cares for all his creatures and he would never bring us suffering. A soothing scripture I like is Psalm 34:18 which reads: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” He promised that in the Paradise, we will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free from all problems, accidents, and sickness. Even our dead loved ones like Kameron will be resurrected. (Psalm 37:9, 29; John 5:28, 29) With all my sympathy for the loss of someone so dear.

I had the privilege of teaching Kameron in fifth grade at Yates Mill. Kameron's sweet smile and caring attitude will be remembered. Those of us who knew Kameron are heart-broken, but know he is in the arms of angels.
