I met Dawn briefly in the summer of 2017 when she and the boys attended our church's soccer camp. Dawn and I took some walks around the park and talked about both being from Maryland, and both recently losing our fathers. But the most important thing we discussed was where we would go when we die. Dawn shared with me that a former co-worker had led her to Christ and she was confident that she would spend eternity in heaven. She desired to be closer to Jesus and for her children to know God. Dawn had a great burden to see her family well and thriving. Her heart of compassion for others was obvious. I'm so thankful that we had these conversations and I can know that we can continue them in glory one day. Our prayers are continual for the Poss family. May the God of peace give you comfort as only He can. "Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

My condolences to the family and friends. It is never easy to have to say goodbye to a loved one. The pain of loss can be unbearable. Our Creator promises us that one day this pain will be just a memory. That beautiful promise can be found at Revelation 21:3, 4. With our pain and suffering a thing of the past, we can cry tears of joy as we welcome back the ones that we lost to death. I hope you find a measure of comfort and hope in these promises.

Heartfelt Condolence to the Family of Dawn Poss,
There are few experiences more difficult than losing a loved one in death. It is obvious from the many kind expressions that Mrs. Poss will be sadly missed. I find comfort in knowing death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed.
The grief and sorrow we experience is temporary. (Revelation 21:4). God’s word is clear, “Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust!.....And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life”. (Isaiah 26:19) The restoration of life is guaranteed because of Jehovah God’s purpose and great love for mankind!
Jesus not only spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he himself was resurrected by his Father and performed many miracles including resurrections. All such miraculous events took place on earth giving us a precious glimpse of what is to come.......seeing our loved ones again! (Acts 24:15)
As you cherish the many fond memories of Mrs. Poss, may Jehovah God continue to bless your family at this difficult time and in the days ahead......
