He was born on December 6, 1940 in New Hanover County, NC; son of the late Theodore Rufus Rouse, Sr. and Sara Cox Newton Rouse.

Mr. Rouse was owner and operator of Duplin Nursery which he purchased from his father in 1979. He was a life-long member of Rose Hill United Methodist Church.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 57 years, Judy Quinn Rouse of the home; son, Michael Theodore Rouse and wife, Jackie of Southport; daughter, Debbie Rhodes of Rose Hill; grandchildren, Christian Rhodes, Adrianne Paul, Jonathan Stancil and wife, Kristina and Jason Stancil; great granddaughter, Khloe Rhodes; sister, Marian Holland of Rose Hill; special friends, Harold and Lois Mobley of Rose Hill, Robert James and Richard Gossman, both of Wallace and Dewitt and Alicia Sholar of Rose Hill and numerous extended family and friends.

"Bo", as he was affectionately called, was a devoted husband and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He found great joy in the simplest of things, but his greatest joy was family. Being an avid outdoorsman, Bo enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his nursery. He was a man of compassion and kindness always lending a helping hand to those in need. Bo had a deep, private relationship with God and demonstrated his faith in the way he lived his life. He will surely be missed but treasured memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Bo.
