Robert Herman Goslee, Sr passed away peacefully at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, Wilmington, NC on 7/29/17. He was born 1/11/33 in Wilmington, Delaware. He grew up in Portsmouth, VA, a graduate of Woodrow Wilson HS and NCSU ('55), where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 3 years active and 18 years ready reserves. After his military service, he was employed by White Furniture Company in their manufacturing operations in Mebane, NC.

He opened his own business, R.H. Goslee & Associates in 1969, a land planning and survey company. He was a faithful member of St. Mary's Episcopal-Lutheran Church in Burgaw, serving many years on the vestry and as a layreader.

He is preceded in death by his parents A. Herman and Evelyn Dillon Goslee, an infant sister, and his son Fred. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Katherine, his brother William (Virginia); his children Carrilee Monroe (Mike), Robert Jr (Linda) and Mary Anne Mincher. Grandchildren include Lauren, Weston and Julia Marie Monroe; Mason (Meghan), Rachel, and Carson (Madison) Goslee; Jonathan and Dillon Mincher. Nieces and nephews include Jack Goslee, Pat O'Sullivan and Anne Goslee. Cousins include Rosemary Vaughn, Judith Dickerson, Nancy Seigneur, Anne Roche and Dot Goodman. Two step daughters include Suzanne (Don) Dickerson and Ashley (Tim) Howard with their children Elizabeth and Andrew Dickerson; Carson and Bradley Howard.

Visitation will be at St. John's Episcopal Church in Wilmington on Friday August 4th from 5-7 pm. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal-Lutheran Church in Burgaw on Saturday August 5th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to St. Mary's Episcopal-Lutheran Church 506 South McNeil St. Burgaw, NC 28425 or Lower Cape Fear Hospice of Wilmington, NC.
