Obituary

William Gary Page, Sr., 69, of Magnolia left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Monday, May 8, 2017.

He was born on July 26, 1947 in Duplin County and was the son of the late James William and Lelma Whaley Page.

Mr. Page proudly served his country in the US Army and was member of Island Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 48 years, Janet Jackson Page; his daughter, Sarah Page Freeman and husband, Ted of Warsaw; his sons, William Gary Page, Jr. and wife, Crystal of Rose Hill and Ronnie Dean Page and wife, Brandi of Teachey; grandchildren, Summerlin Rae Page, Isabella Presley Freeman, Reid Jackson Page, Anna Grace Page, Jansley Brooks Page and William Garrison Page; brothers, Jimmy Page and wife, Christine of Wallace and Randy Page of Penderlea and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Gary was a devoted husband and caring father, grandfather and brother who loved his family dearly. He found great joy in the simplest things, but his greatest joy was spending time with family. Gary was a hard worker who enjoyed working and was a great provider for his family. He was employed at Guildford Mills (Lear) for 41 years and developed many friendships while working there. Being a quiet and mild manner man, Gary was loved by many. When he wasn’t at work, he was home spending time with the love of his life and working around the house. Gary was a loving grandfather who especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved Gary.
